The Association for Lifelong Learning in Rural Areas (AEPMR)

The Association for Lifelong Learning in Rural Areas (AEPMR) is a non-governmental organization based in Braila, Romania founded in 2009. The mission of the organisation is to increase the number of citizens in the rural areas who have access to and benefit from lifelong learning opportunities. AEPMR has experience in organising educational and training activities for adults and young people, as well as disadvantaged groups both within the European projects that the organization has run, as well as at local level by organising courses, seminars, workshops and round tables for different target groups. Areas of activity: lifelong learning courses for citizens in rural environments; training courses, including e-learning, seminars, conferences, public debates; awareness raising activities; etc. AEPMR has a team of 8 permanent staff members, with different educational backgrounds, comprising researchers, trainers, project managers and a financial manager. Since 2009, AEPMR has been involved in 11 European projects (Leonardo da Vinci , Grundtvig, KA3 actions).
